Training Liberia's next diplomats, one committee at a time.

Model United Nations is a simulation of the UN General Assembly, where students take on the roles of ambassadors and diplomats from UN member states, debating global issues in UN committees and other multilateral and international bodies.

MUN-Liberia was established in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, by a Liberian international student then studying the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in West Asia, together with fellow young leaders back home. What began as an idea has grown into a team of highly motivated young changemakers coaching UN-style debate, public speaking, diplomacy, and parliamentary procedure — connecting Liberia's youth to the local, regional, and global community through a platform built for youth empowerment and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Conference Simulation & Committee Debate

Delegates step into the role of ambassadors, debating real global issues under formal parliamentary rules of procedure — from committees like SOCHUM and UNFCCC to the African Union.

Youth Training Workshops

Hands-on sessions building public speaking, research, negotiation, and diplomatic writing skills — the foundation every delegate needs before they ever step into committee.

A running hub of scholarships, fellowships, exchange programs, and youth opportunities we curate and share, so our delegates' growth doesn't stop when the conference ends.

Inaugural Conference

Formerly known as Liberia International Model United Nations (LIOMUN), MUN Liberia hosts its inaugural conference at Capitol Hill in Monrovia, marking a historic milestone for youth diplomacy in Liberia.

Regional Expansion

The conference expands to welcome delegations from multiple countries, bringing together more than 200 students representing over 20 nations.

International Recognition

MUN Liberia delegates represent the organization at the AFS Youth Assembly, expanding international partnerships and strengthening connections with global diplomatic networks.

Expanding Youth Leadership

MUN Liberia expands its impact by engaging more young leaders through conferences, leadership training, and strategic partnerships that promote global citizenship and youth empowerment.

Biggest Conference Yet

MUN Liberia hosts its largest conference to date, featuring multiple UN committees, expanded regional participation, and hundreds of young leaders working together to address global challenges through diplomacy and collaboration.

Conference experience
